Gloria, R.D.H.

I grew up in a small town in Iowa, two hours Northwest of the Des Moines area. Shortly after high school graduation, at age seventeen, I moved to Des Moines to begin working at the Principal (formerly The Bankers Life) to pay for the car of my dreams - a candy-apple red Mustang. I attended evening classes at Drake to continue my education. After working at the Principal for ten years and briefly for the Department of Public Safety, I left the workforce to be a full-time Mom to our son and to renovate the home we had purchased.

At nearly age forty, I decided to go back to college full-time to get my license to practice Dental Hygiene. My interest in the sciences and health care seemed to provide a good fit. Before I had ever considered dentistry as a career, I had always noticed a person's teeth first.

I love getting to know people and helping them to attain a higher level of oral health. My hobbies are reading, walking, yard work, music and home decor.
